It seems like alot of people around me have been have problems with their amps lately, including me. My JL 500/5 quit, My MTX mono quit, an Orion 500.5 in my wifes car quit, my brother-in-law went through a Legecy, Kenwood, and a Profile in the past 3 months. I just put my old Sony back-up amp in my Blazer, It lasted 2 weeks.

I need some relaible power. Who makes the most reliable Amps? I was considering Infinity, JBL, or Alpine.

infinity/jbl are both owned by the harmon group, and share a lot in common. I have been running my JBL amps for 5+ yrs now, no issues.

Alpine amps from what I've seen are reliable as well.

You need to do a look-see through your system to make sure you aren't doing something wrong; and I'd highly suggest getting an outside source to do it. Not to be mean at all; but the only thing I see in common with these installs is yourself. You could possibly be doing something you were taught was right; but is apparently wrong.

Im going to agree, bad ohm loads or grounds

Hell my wife's 5-channel Crunch amp has lasted for 4 years maybe? Crunch!
My 2 Rockford amps in my blazer were underwater in Katrina for almost a day, they still work!
