I recently bought an '88 std cab that has been lowered about 2 inches, maybe 3. The shocks are about shot and completely rusted up. Do I need to buy special shocks for lowered trucks or will oem do? Any help to a newbie would be greatly appreciated!

when u lower the vehicle it's best to get some drop shocks also. nitro active shocks work well.

when you lower and change the shock length you should use drop shocks

if you use springs or leafs to lower you need new shocks if it is more than 1in

if you use spindles and blocks your fine with stock

if you dont change the shocks the will burst on the inside and you will be hearing a rattle that you cannot find, then one day you will be on the road and next thing you know they go and if there is ne1 around you there will be a huge mess!!!!!!!
