i made my own mesh grill inserts by cutting up some rain gutter guards and makin em fit into the grille on my 95 sonoma with the square headlights. i ziptied em on and the grill looks good then i stuffed some into the turn signals that are in the bumper and those r cool now im tryin to get the mesh to stay in the holes on the lower airdam where the tow hooks are. duct tape just aint holdin and i would be able to see a screw if i put one thru... any ideas?
(No offense, but I wouldnt duct run tape anywhere on my truck)
It may not look bad depending on how you have the tape. I'm really for do it yourself stuff, but just dont sacrifice the quality. If you didnt though, then thats really cool. I'm not bashing the idea or anything, just the use of the tape. Surely there are other ways to get that to stay in there. I have a friend that did something similar to this and it looks good. Also I know someone else that used chrome door guard trim to rig up some billet looking grill inserts. Looks good though.
what about some kinda of glue? maybe epoxy or something..although im not sure if it eats through plastic...a buddy of mine used some fiberglass on his honda to hold the inserts in..Just and idea
