Who's got what and any recommendations. I'm a little tired of getting pulled over, any suggestions would be helpful.

the escort passport 8500. its the only way to go. its about $300 but worth every penny. its saved my ass on many law breaking occasions. please don't puss out and buy some whistler or cobra crap. buy this once and your set. www.radartest.com will tell you everything you need to know and help you make a choice.

I have heard very good things about the Valentine 1 as well, people say it's very comparable to the Passport 8500 (some say it's better).

I have a Uniden something-or-other and it sucks. Doesn't work 1/2 the time. My roommate needed money and gave it to me (like new) for $20, so I can't complain though. It's not very useful, just another gadget to play with. I found the best way to not get pulled over for speeding is to just not speed much. I usually drive around 63 mph and haven't been stopped since the days when I used to do 70+ everywhere.

Thanks for the link it was really helpful in making my decision. Getting the 8500. 300's not that much when you consider thats about the cost of 2 tickets.

I have the Valentine 1 it works great..usually..however..most p.d.'s and highway patrols use an auto on/off detector..basically the "radar" part stay off and just senses the car then turns on..and by then it's often to late and most detectors wont pick up on the sensor part..what you need is a jammer:D

Yeah I read that recently. I just want one for added protection. You know so I can keep my money where it belongs in the truck fund.

It's ironic with this post and then getting in an accident last night now I don't need one.
