Hey

when I start my engine i find it revs way too high!

From a cold overnight start it will start up and go right up to at least 2800RPM, sit there for about 10 to 15 seconds, then do down to say 1800RPM, and finally once its really warm it will idle at 1000RPM.

Is this normal? or should I try to see if there is something messes up somewhere?

I just don't like the idea of a cold engine idling at 2800RPM :D

Thanks

I replaced the Throttle Position Sensor and it corrected it.

Also now when I tap my gas when the truck is at high idle, it will goto normal idle

mine has been doin it for years
it has something to do with the stove pipe that goes to the manifold and breather
i call it a stove pipe some people call it something else
its moves heat from the manifold to the breather so the choke wont stay on for a long time
