Well i changed my oil bc its winter time, went from 20w50 and i put some thinner stuff in, i believe 10w30. Well anyways i drove it for 3 days no problems. I then took a 3 day vacation(not in truck). I came back today and started it up. ANyways, something sounds horrible, sounds like something is rattling around in motor and white smoke is coming outof the exhaust. I only had it runnin for like a min and it kept doin this. What is going on, any help wouldbe appreciated. Is it something as simple as oilin being to light? or something more serious?

i got aftermarket gauges. What would be involved in replacing the headgasket? The rattling sounds like it is coming from the back of the manifold if that helps. Also when i changed the oil, it had like lil stuff in it, like saw dust type dots?

Holy Crap your still driving it! Someone please tell me Im wrong. The lil white dots are a good indiator of a ruined head gasket. Its not real hard all you have to do is remove the intake manifold and what not its not real hard but its time consuming. I hope you havent ruined any thing.

More i think about it, i think its timing. Well there were no lil white dots, just like lil specs it seems i think, i could have kicked up some dirt while changing it. I will time it by sound tomorrow.
