Hey,

I have a 12in Kenwood KFC-w3011 sub which I won at a car show I have a completely stock 2002 S10 2dr base. I need to know what size enclosure I need to fit behind my seats and what type of amp I need. I have a stock head unit as well which I would like to play my I-Pod through, I have a $200 budget for a enclosure and an AMP.

Thanks in advanced im sorry for being a complete car audio noob please forgive me if I didnt give enough information.

its going to be hard to run your Ipod through the factory head unit.
and by 2 door do you mean regular cab? if so, that sub woofer is going to be a tight fit with a 6 3/4" mounting depth, you will loose A LOT of leg room, I've got a regular cab, I've also got 2 regular mounting depth 12" subs in it, but they are closer to 5 1/4 in deep rather than 6 3/4, that means you need 8.5ish inches between your seat and the back wall.
you may be better off selling that speaker and getting something a little shallower.

but since you asked, here are a couple nice amps for it.

for ease of installation

my best suggestion is to get out a tape measure and see how much room you really have and go from there, but my suggestion would be the Dayton Reference HO subwoofers, they require a minimal enclosure size and are only 5 3/8" deep making it so you need about 8 inches of clearance wall to seat which is fairly easy and tolerable with the amount of legroom i loose and im 6' tall. you should be able to sell your sub and come close to the price of one of these, if not, we can recommend something that will probably fit your budget.
