Im looking at a 2000 s10 with 84xxx. The truck has a hydraulic system already installed on it and i know nothing of these systems. The seller has explained theres a hole in the hose of the right rear. Thats irrelavant because I dont want the system installed. Its a good price so im planning on buying and reversing install back to factory suspension.. so my question is... has something been done that will make it hard for me to reverse this? i know noonecan tell without seeing the suspension. but is there like a procedure done during hydraulics install that is irreversible?.. total noob on hydraulics. any info will help.

it depends what kind setup the guy used on the installation, some setups e pretty str8 forward, so str8 backward as well, some setups are more complex so will be a bit harder to reverse, but not impossible...

The biggest problem that most people have when removing a hydraulic set-up is what to do about the hole in the front of the frame where the shock is supposed to mount. There are a couple things that can be done. Relocated the shock to the outside of the a-arm (similar to that of a bag system), or the hole can be welded back up with a large, thick washer.

One of the biggest things to watch out for is frame damage. If the truck has been routinely three wheeled without any kind of reinforcement, there's a very good chance that the frame is twisted. Also, if the truck has been hopped, very often the crossmember in the front will begin to collapse in. All things are of course repairable, but you have to take into consideration the cost of repair into the final price.
