Thanks guys. I was hoping to get the brakes on soon but I don't know if it will be as soon as I thought because it looks like I need to just get the truck driveable ASAP
why's that? hitting that gay porn convention you always raved about

haha how'd you know Scotty? lol

No, actually I need to get it drivin because I haven't gotten hardly anything done in the amount of time I've had (the 10x20 garage is kind of a motivation killer lol), and I'm really getting sick of driving my POS '98 Dodge Avenger daily driver now that the weather is getting nicer. But mainly because in a month and a half I have to move and I'd like to drive it to the new residence instead of trailering it, even if it's only running open headers :evilg:

ok, so here is the big update I've been taunting you with.

The truck was put back together enough to drive onto a trailer (suspension reassembled with coils, wiring connections hooked up, trans lines looped with rubber hose, battery strapped to frame rail) and then it was driven onto a trailer and taken to my parents house where it was unloaded into their garage where it remained for about 2 weeks. The reason it went there is because... I BOUGHT A HOUSE! :) (finally, lol). Well, I should say... my wife and I bought a house :D And to prepare to move out of our condo I needed the garage to be empty so we could move all of the packed items into the garage where it was easier to load them into a trailer. So after closing on April 30th (just in time for the $8k first time homebuyer credit) we moved in and settled in, and then a few weeks later the truck came home. However it was only last night that I was able to work on it again, because of tons of new home projects like almost completely painting everything, hanging decorations, tons of yard work, etc etc. But it has all been worth it and we are loving being homeowners. Here's a picture of the house and a quick description:

It's a Cape Cod built in 1999, 1800 sq ft, 3 bed, 1.75 bath in Cedar Lake, IN. Lot is 95x105 but there's also 30 feet of easement out to the side road because it's the first home on the block and when they subdivided the land they had to leave that much room to the town. So I don't own that land but I have to maintain it which kinda sucks but it's cool too because it's like I have more property (which, with that easement the property ends up being about 1/3 acre). It features a 2.5 car garage that is fully insulated, heated, has ceiling fans, a bug screen for the overhead door, and lots of cabinets on the wall and composing a nice work bench.

I already wired up 220V in the garage and brought my welder over in addition to my torches and all my tools so as far as the truck is concerned I am pretty much set to bust butt and get it back on the road. I have a little bit of unpacking to do yet as well as some around-the-house things (like fixing a broken free lawnmower lol) before I can just dive into working on the truck on a regular basis. But hopefully there will be a good amount of updates soon. I'll try to post more pictures of the house as well so you can see how it looks inside as well as out :)

Been working on designing the rear suspension amongst goo gobs of other things in life (updates on those hopefully someday soon).

I must say though... when Max Fish asks you to keep him updated on the status of your project it must mean you're doing something right :D

Thanks Scott!

Well, here is the big update I've been meaning to get up. To start, more pictures of the house. We'll start with the back yard:

Puppy on the back porch ("Throw the ball with me Dad!")

Mowing the lawn for the first time (it was looooong) ("I'll follow you til you play with me")

Burn pile in the background:

My Dad and brother cut out the stump under the burn pile

"If I bring it to you will you play with me?"

Ok I'll play with you

Go Puppy Go!

Bring it back!

Finally, the inside. Within the first 2 weeks we repainted mostly everything. I was charged with doing the ceilings, but my mother-in-law did everything else

Here is the Living Room:

The Kitchen

Dining Room

The 9'x10' room that is being used as an office

13'x13' extra bedroom (with a 6x10 walk in closet)

Downstairs full bathroom

Stairs

At the top of the stairs is the master suite. In this pic you can see the door at the top of the stairs as well as the door to the bathroom and the 'extra' side of the room

When you walk up the stairs, to your right is the Master Bedroom. The door on the far wall is the the 8'x8' master closet that's over the garage

And on the other side of the Master Suite is the 'extra' room which as you can tell is for the new 'extra' member of our family that we've been expecting since last October

And lastly, the upstairs 3/4 bathroom

And then on Sunday, the 4th of July, our first child was born. Isabella Pearl was born at 7:43am weighing 7lbs 15oz and stretching 20.5" long :) Unfortunately, she was born with a 103* fever so we didn't get to hold her because she was brought almost immediately to the care unit in the nursery. But within a few hours her fever was gone and there was no sign of any virus or infection so after about 6 hours of being born we were finally able to hold her. She spent a full 48 hours in the hospital and on Tuesday we were able to bring her home where she has been ever since, and she has been doing well. Here are a few pictures of my beautiful girl :D

Finally got to hold her :)

Her tiny little hand holding Daddy's finger

Her little feet

Proud Papa

Watching her birthday fireworks with Daddy :) The 7th floor room we had in the hospital was the best view of fireworks I've ever had in my life... we could see them all the way to Chicago! It was amazing

Sleeping with Mommy

The happy family :)

Finally home!

Wearing the onesie I made for her :)

Wearing her shades

And lastly, chillin on the couch with Daddy
