Got rid of my last bagged, S10 some years ago. Always had an itch for another.
Got into (still into) Volkswagens, but have been looking for another project and came across one. (To add to the other 3 projects )

Found a Gray ‘93 Single Cab, 2.5, Standard. Pretty beat on and figured I would replace some panels and use it as a daily.
Found another Maroon ‘93 Single cab, 4.3 without a title, running. Ended up picking it up. Really wanted another extended cab, but no one would respond back to me on when I found some. Oh well.

Got a title for the Maroon truck and started tearing into it. Needed a tailgate because the bottom was rusted out, as well as the drivers door bottom.

Snagged a hood, doors, fenders, core support, etc from the junkyard. (Took all of the glove boxes and dash parts they had that looked good because the yards aren’t getting these trucks in that much anymore around here).
Already pulled the fender before taking pictures…..

Haul from the junkyard. Snagged 3 Blazer rear bumpers as well.
Man these junk yards charge for every thing, even broken door handles, half missing under hood insulation and everything else they want to.:poop:

The dash isn’t the worst in the 93, but I wanted something that had zero issues. Put out some feelers and got a response from a guy about 2.5 hours away, saying he had a dash with no cracks. $100, deal. He said he had some door panels and other interior panels, including the digital dash.and would sell it all for $200….also a deal.

He sent me pics…. It was the INTERIOR OUT OF MY OLD TRUCK!!!!!

The old truck for reference: Didn’t get the seats, which was a bummer. I will not be using the green in the new truck, doing black and gray. the dash will get cleaned and a fresh coat of vinyl dye applied. I‘ll probably dye the sun visors and door panel tops to charcoal gray. Dash will stay black.
The Digital Dash will be wired up to be put in the new project.

Ordered a TON of parts over the last 2 weeks. It’s like Christmas everyday so far.🎅

The plan is to lower 3/4 or 4/4.
Complete new everything suspension-wise has been mostly ordered.
So far:
-3in drop leafs
-1in drop block
-all new suspension hardware
-MOOG tie rods, endlinks, bushings, center link, adjusting sleeves, ball joints
-TIMKEN bearings
-New rotors, calipers, hoses, pads
-New Drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, all hardware, brake lines
(Still need to order drop spindles and drop coils)

-New headlight housings from LMC truck (Going with 5500/6000k HIDs)
-New Grill, new tail lights, new marker lights, new turn signal lights
-New door handles, locks, door strikers, new door latches, EnduraPin hinge pins and roller pins.
(need to order one window motor eventually)

Bought ALL new weatherstripping for the whole truck, window scrapers, channels, etc…

Started getting the truck all stripped for the body shop

Grille came in today, drop leaf springs, headlights and tails, new dome light, miscellaneous bolts and hardware, brake adjusters, my other rocker panel (finally) and an upgraded headlight harness since I’ll be running HIDs.
Also grabbed a new down pile/Y-pipe since mine was messed up by a previous owner. (Trying to make dual exhaust). Snagged a new (junkyard) spare tire mount/brace.

Crap. I had a new rocker sitting in a box. Gonna watch this one. Last truck came out real nice. How did you get the title?

Here we go. Glad they are already getting to it. All my latest body shop stories have been related to them taking forever.

I know the guy, out in Waco. He does more custom work and takes on a few cars a year. I got mine in just in time.

I couldn’t chose between a stock blue color or a bright white. I told him to surprise me, white or white with a blue pearl tint to it.

I ended up buying two more S10’s while waiting.
An 88 and an 89,
The 88 is a red ext cab, 2.8 motor which is bad, all original, one owner

The 89 is a parts truck, just picked it up. Absolutely gutted. I have 90% of the parts. Bought the whole truck for one thing :LOL:

It’s going up for sale/parts soon, then going to the recycler after the new year.
