I started a thread in the Member Rides but since there is so much to do to the truck and a lot I want to do I think it is a project. I bought the truck off of Craigslist not running. To keep from posting pics twice here is my other thread, http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f3/my-1997-ss-513147/ .
My 2 Olympic White Chevys.

When I got it home

There is a God awful smell in the truck. I have opened the doors everyday for the last week and it is still there. Here is the list of things I have to do to get it road worthy:
Front tires
Upper and lower ball joints
Repair or replace upper CAI tube( silver dollar size hole from rubbing the master cylinder)
Exhaust from the convertor back
Intake gaskets

After this I plan on replacing the following:
Rear leaf springs
Tailgate
Oil cooler lines
Pressure wash carpet
Replace seat or get it re upolstred

The truck came with a spare trans since the factory one was slipping. I serviced it since it was a few quarts low so I am gonna be easy on it for a while. It seems to be ok just driving it the little bit I have. I would like to go supercharged/ built motor in the future.

Today I pulled the carpet and pressure washed it. Also got a new 3rd brake light lense since the other one was painted and melted.

And I got a little surprise when I removed the carpet... Notice the outter rear seat mount stud for the drivers seat

Dropped the truck off at the exhaust shop to get a muffler welded in. He had a fairly new flowmaster in the corner he is putting on. Aso it is getting the intake tube welded up where the hole is and the floor pan repaired where it is cracked. Got it inspected so I can get the plate next week. Also swapped the white face gauges for a factory one I got from a member on here. I will post pics when I get the truck back.

Got the truck back from the exhaust and welding. Truck sounds good and how I wanted it. Not too loud but good sound at idle and while driving. Floor and intake tube is also welded up. Also I ordred my Cal-Vu mirrors yesterday so I can dump these Ebay specials and ordered a GM roll pan.

Oh, I hope not Chug lol. That Fiero was moving at part throttle when yall left! On a bad note, the fuel pump is on borrowed time. Not enough psi to fire off. I have to give it a couple shots of carb cleaner to start up. I ordered a TRE pump, got new rotors, pads, wheel bearings, and ball joints today. Tires should be here Wednesday for the front.

Got a little done this week. Changed out the front rotors, bearings, and pads, Replaced the bump stops in the front and mounted 2 new tires. Tires are Ohtsu which are made by Falken, 245/50/16. I couldn't beat the price. My new fuel pump came in but didn't get a chance to install it yet. Also have to replace the front calipers since one side wouldn't compress all the way in.

I see that you are ready to get this thing going. New shoes, new brakes, new (sweet ass) stereo. From the looks you might have the carpet back in too. Find ya a tailgate yet?

Got my new mirror on today. Also saw that my front windshield was tinted after someone asked me if it was. I had not even noticed it. Now time to get some factory corner lamps, new fog lights, and some floor mats. Also found out that the door speakers were wired to a separate amp so that is gonna have to be un done to run off the radio.

Got my SS bowtie on.

New fuel pump is in. I had a TRE 255 but when I ohm'd out my level sensor on my pump it was bad and I didn't have a spare to replace it with like I had planned. Ended up putting in a new asm for the time being. Gauge works perfect now.

Picked up a tailgate to replace mine.

Lost an air shock today. Lower nut came loose on the shock and the shock slide over and wore a hole in the bag on the sway bar. ORdered a new set today... blahhh
