So i was surfing the craigslist ads looking for parts for my 94 that i was working on when i came across this gem. The add stated that it was a 2.2:( 5 speed and it needed an oil pump. The guy that owned it before me tried to replace it but couldn't because the x member wouldn't let the oil pan move out. I went to go look at it bc there was no pics. when i showed up i was blown away at what i found.

I got my paycheck and told the guy i would give him $600 for the truck he said $500 cash takes it today. So I basically stole this from him I was overjoyed.

i don't know you, but all i can say is that i hate you! lol!
I picked up a sbc with trans from my uncle for about $200. He didn't know too much about it soo i took a gamble on it. I started to tear down the motor and run casting numbers. The heads are smog heads . But all is good i traded my stepbrother my 94 rolling chassis for his dart iron eagle heads, and summit discount! Ran the cast numbers on the block and found out that it came out of a 79 pick up. 010 cast 4 bolt main! I felt like I hit the lotto.

The trans that came with it is a Th350 longshaft I sold that and made my money back on the motor. Picked up a 700r4 from my uncle for $50. It sat for 20+ years i'm gonna replace the filter oil and seals. And all should be kosher.

The truck needed a bed so i called around. The cheapest was $800 for used in rough shape. WTF! Luckily I stoped at this one off the side of the road and asked the guy told me he had one. i asked how much he said $125. blown away at his price and condition of the bed I didn't even try to hagle him down. But all it needed was a new headrail and have a dent popped out.

HAHA alot of people can't beleive it until i show them the pics.
is the white bed you posted pictures of the new bed ???

Here in GA, they go for 100-400 depending on condition.

I picked up mine for 200 dollars with a tonneau cover in really good shape, no rust, very few dings.

nice deal, pretty nice color too for a classic cruiser type truck with some whitewalls and smoothies.

I hit the underside with a wire wheel and sprayed it with Rustoleum rust preventer, then I sprayed Duplicolor rubberized undercoat.

Yea but I have different plans for it. It was originally red but the previous owner painted it that color.
I finally was able to track down an a/c delete heater box. Ordered it from the dealer. It should be in on monday.
i can't find a bed in somewhat decent shape in my area for under 500.
you just gotta look man. i lost all hope when i was looking you just can't give up it also takes time.
I took the whole front end suspension off cleaned it up and sprayed it with rust inhibitor. Next step is to paint the frame gloss black, install my new core support replace the bushings, then order in my 3/3 drop and reassemble the whole front end together.
wow. you offer him 6 and he cuts himself out of a hundred bucks.
doesnt get much better than that!
It's been quite a while since I've been on here, but I have gotten a lot of progress done on the truck since then. I replaced all the suspension components, got the truck in primer and ready for paint. I went with Bright White with a blue pearl. it looks really nice. Picked up a Bravada front bumper the other day to grace the front end
