my driver door was crunched up and in desperate need of replacement.
so i got this one and after removing the old door, transferring
the power lock and window shit i tried to put it on and this damn thing
is way wrong.
it's hitting the rocker on the front, and then has huge gap on the top.
my old one lined up just fine and i did replace the pins
any ideas on how i can fix this this or at least make it a little bit better?

it shut all the way, not only on first latch click of the latch? there are two clicks of the latch mech. first one and then the second one

striker bolt need to be moved inwards more?

are the hinge pin bushing fingers bent downwards?

tweak them upwards some to vertically lift the door position?

gotta do what you gotta to make it fit right

which means tweaking and bending etc sometimes

but carefully

were the bushing holes re drilled?

off centered?

yes, it is clicked shut all the way, the bottom of the door lines up in the jam just fine so it's not the striker or latch.
the bushing holes were fine, not egged out or anything
i can't seem to visualize if i should bend the top or bottom "bushing fingers"
and if so, which way to bend them. seems like i should bed the lower ones down?

the top part looks too be pulled out, the part that's welded to the cab,
you may need to beet it in with a block of wood & hammer..
seeing how the old door was wrecked, it may have been pulled out..
& also the bottom one looks too be pushed in, you may have to pull it out ..
hope this info helps.. i ran into the same problem, with my s10 good luck

the window frame of the door is bent out. You need to bend the frame back in by putting a block of wood in the door jam and push on the window frame till it touches the cab. Take the wood out and slam the door shut. That will straighten it back out.
