I think I may have a dead power supply on my hands and just wanted to ask you geniuses before I bought another one. I can't get the computer to power up at all. The only life I can get out of it is from a discharge (flip power switch on and the try to turn on computer, turn power switch off and then hold power button down for a few seconds). There's a brief blue glow and a few whirrs from the fans and then it powers down. I tried getting a voltage reading from a free molex connector and even the motherboard connector with the power switch on and holding the power button down, but nothing.

Everything else plugged into the UPS works. So, it's a dead power supply, right?

Thanks :)
I was starting to fear it was the motherboard, and finding an inexpensive 939 motherboard is not too easy these days.

Don't mess around. Go with a Corsair. Something like
the 620. I run a 550 and it has been rock solid and quiet.
