on my door speakers, theres a yellow and black wire, which is positive and which is negative? the factory speakers labeled the wires A and B, not + or -, so i have no clue. can i just test them on my new speakers, or will it damage it if i have the polarity wrong?

it shouldnt. i think the wire with a stripe or 2 different colors on it is the positive. i believe if you switch the polarity of the wires, you just run out of phase, not hurt the speaker.

easy way to check it...take out stock speaker...cut plug out of truck...take the two leads going to the speaker...take a battery and touch the ends to the stripped back speaker wire...if the speaker goes up...then you have the polarity right...if it goes down your have it backwards...note what way it moves...then when it moves up...right what wire you have on the positive of the battery...then thats your positive in your truck...
