thanks. so some 235's should clear fine on my stock 97.

oh and if you want to see some tire gap i have a pic of 215's with moogs and spindles on my old 1st gen. and they were only a 65 or 70 sidewall.

here you go 215's on spindles and moogs.

They cleared, but I did have some rubbing issues on the inner fender when I had the wheel turned and hit a bump, a hammer or cutting will help fix that. I also had rubbing at full turns, on the frame and sway bar. So don't fully turn the wheel and take clearance the inner fender and you'll be fine.

What's the specs on the 97? Don't forget, I had stock 94 suspension, z83, and the 4 cylinder standard cab. So I had the "weakest" or "softest" suspension offered on the s10's. You 97 may sit higher than my truck did, which will help you.

Yea, it's either a z83 (soft suspension) or z85 (heavy duty suspension). And if you have a standard cab short bed, it's most likely z83. What engine do you have?

Edit: I plan to get bigger tires eventually, but at least don't look too small there. I plan on 31's down the road.
