On Monday I am going to pick up my motor from a salvage yard. It is a Vortec 5.7 from a 98 Chevy Van.
I've got a few questions:
Can I use the ECM from my 2000 2.2 (can I have it programmed fro the new motor?)?
If not, where is the passlock stuff on the Van?... Is it in the key cylinder? (I want to make sure I get what I need while at the yard)
Finally, Why does everyone talk about splicing two 4.3 harnesses together for the V8. Can I just use the wiring that came on the engine?
