Guys,
I have a HVLP gavity fed gun, nothing special, and when I shoot anything (primer, thinner or paint) I do not get a constant spray. It also spits a little paint I noticed, possibly the result of this "miss". Any ideas, is there a way to adjust it, am I shooting at too high or too low of a pressure? Thanks

The gun is brand new and has been cleaned properly.

Check the packing around the needle. Sometimes you need to tighten it a little or use some vasoline around the needle at that point.

If its new I'd go with Casey53 and check the packing nut, on my Iwata paint gun, right out of the box it didn't spit but the packing nut was just loose enough to cause a slight drip. Adjusting that will also help you out on your spitting problem as my Iwata has done that also and I've had to readjust it. The packing nut's pretty easy to find, on my Iwata it's right at the trigger area around the fluip tip.
