general motors started using OBDII in the early 90's, although it was not manditory for manufactor's to begin using them until the 1996 year vehicles.
so answer to your question is OBDII

I was under the impression that the OBDII systems used 2 O2 sensors and that the OBDI only had 1 O2 sensor.

Im pretty sure that I have only one oxygen sensor right before the cat. Also, if I were to remove the cat completely, would I get an SES light or not since I dont have any sensors after the cat?
