I have done the swap. But my truck had the 2.8 5 speed to start with.
It was a very easy swap. Crossmember bolted right up in the stock location. The only issue I had was the stock clutch slave cylinder hose was to short. Stock slave cylinder mounted to the driver side of the tranny. NV3500 has the slave cylinder mounted on the passenger side of the tranny. I had a stainless braided hose made to reach.
