Alright long story short. 1993 s10 2wd sbc 400 completely rebuilt nv 3500 internal slave transmission. I have replaced the master, new line from master to new slave. Got it bled out where my peddle is pretty good. Goes in and out of gears fine but slipping now. It did not slip before my clutch line melted causing me to go ahead and replace everything as stated above. Now the clutch peddle has a little slack before it "feels" like a peddle. What could cause it to slip have I not bled it enough? Again the peddle now feels different than the peddle before the line burnt. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance

How do you know it's slipping? The problem you describe with the way the pedal feels has nothing to do with the clutch slipping.

Just want to make sure we're all talking about the same thing.

I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination but it sounds like the slipping may be due to the clutch getting some fluid on it from the melted line. I don't know why the pedal would change though. When you figure it out post it.

Okay I will update, I checked linkage going from the pedal to the master it's good and all new. I am trying to explain I had no resistance for about 2 inches before the peddle became hard after replacing the slave and clutch line.

When the clutch line melted on the header it was in my driveway and minimal fluid got on the clutch if any. Even if some did get up there it shoulda burnt off relatively fast I would think?

I had zero clutch slipping prior to the line melting and changing the slave. I re bled the slave and sure as hell got more air out and now the clutch throw is the whole travel of the pedal. BUT now the clutch grabs all the way at the top and still slips, also vibration coming from what seems to be the transmission under heavy load...thinking pressure plate warped??
