i have a 99 s10 with the 2.2 5 speed, truck ran fine after i turned it off ,it wont even crank, cleaned battery terminals, the block under the battery tray, changed the starter ,took a hot battery out of one i was driving,and still nothing, security light does not blink ,checked for codes and nothing, only thing i know to check now is wires from battery to starter, got me stumped.

Check your neutral safety switch to see if current passes through when the clutch pedal is depressed.

Put your finger on the starter relay when someone turns the key, does it click?

no but its a new auto zone starter, going to bridge it over to see if it cranks.

Did you check the crank fuse?

weird,l bridged it over and had sparks .

so it has power at the starter but still no crank

just out of curiosity i turned the motor over by hand to make sure it wasnt loocked up
