I have an 87 with a 3.4, all of a sudden when you start it in the morning it will run fine, but If you kill the truck no gas will come out of the injectors until it cools down. any help? Stan

Sounds like an ignition module issue to me (it's under you distributor cap). They are sensitive to heat that's why new ones come with heat sink grease. The grease is the only thing that keeps it cool, it uses the distributor as a heat sink. Truck heats up and the ignition module gets hot too causing what you describe... A bad ignition module won't generate reference pulses to open and close the injectors hence, no fuel delivery. The major chain stores can test it to see if it's bad or not before you buy a new one.

yep, mine did the same thing and i couldnt figure it out.. went and took that in and got it tested and sure enoug it was bad.. there like 30 bucks i think

Heh, when you have been around these trucks for over ten years, you end up with a pretty decent sized collection of pics :) ...

I've been around them that long but I don't take pictures.
