another thing that pisses me off is that when i go over 82mph my ABS light kicks on on the dash, if i continue over 85-90mph than the ebrake light begins pulsing at me...what a f*(^(*&^ pain!!!!!!ARGHHHH ...I ve had a 98 2.2L 5spd 3.73 ratio and the fuel cutoff would kick in at 96+mph.....no ebrake or abs lights.....Because the ebrake light is red and pulsing I am too much of a puss to see if it will do over 96...please help a fellow enthusiast

Right on the money SonomaZQ8. The TSB is 00-06-04-025A. Here's what it says.

Subject:
ABS Light On at High Speeds (Above 70mph or 113 km/h), Code C0237 Set (install New PCM)

Models:
2000 Chevrolet and GMC S/T Pickup Models with 2.2 L Engine (VINs 4, 5 - RPOs LN2, L43) and 4L60-E Automatic Transmission (RPO M30)

This bulletin is being revised to add an additional engine and its related information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 00-06-04-025 (Section 06 - Engine).

Condition

Some customers may comment that the ABS light comes on at high speeds (above 70 mph or 113 km/h). Upon investigation, a DTC C0237, Rear Wheel Speed Signal Erratic, will be found.

Cause

Condition may be due to normal fluctuations in the vehicle speed sensor signal that pass from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM).

Correction

The PCM has been revised to add signal filtering to the speed sensor signal that is passed on to the EBCM. Install a new PCM.

Important : The VSS Signal Filter is the only change to the PCM. This PCM should not be used in an attempt to repair any condition other than the subject of this bulletin.
