My wire from the coil to the dis cap arcs really bad across to the firewall and or tranny filler tube. I just put a new wire on and it still does it. Any ideas why?

Its new and pressure is goodstuvx said:Are you still arcing? Those CPI spider tubes are prone to leaking. That could account for your low end power and rough starting problems.

check all the wires and plugs and they are tight the arc is gone but the truck still runs bad and backfires and runs really bad but then goes back to normal then i get on it and it acts up again. Could the ecu be resetting its self to default mode?rat said:Sounds like a problem with the plugs to me. Either someting isn't plugged on all the way, or a plug is bad.
