Hello everyone! I just joined up a few days ago.
I have in the past came to this forum quite a few times in search of answers to questions that I have had on S-10s. There certainly is a lot of knowledge on this forum as I have found.
I have had two S-10s in the last 16 years. I still have the first one that I bought back in 2006. A 1996 extended cab 4.3 V-6 with a 5 speed. I drove it up until 2018 when it blew a head gasket at 265k miles. I needed another truck right away so I bought a 1998 regular cab 2.2 four banger with a 5 speed. Driving that as a daily.
I do really dig S-10s, they are great little trucks!
I have all intentions of putting the 1996 back on the road but it will be a project of course. I have a 1972 small block Chev 400 that is a mild build along with a slightly tricked out turbo 400 trans. But also...as an option, I have a 48k mile 3.8 Chev V-6 out of a 1984 Monte Carlo. Don't know, maybe someday. lol
