Back in 2009 I dreamt of having an S10. The dream kind of died and I got into 4 pot turbo cars. Life would bring me back here now as an adult and with disposable income.

Here is my 2002 Crew Cab with a 5.7 V8. Thanks for having me.

Welcome…but sorry. You can’t leave it at that. Pics are always appreciated.
The teaser photo will have to do for now as truck is going under the knife. Have to pass one of those silly out of province inspections and get the truck "up to code". Most major item being a leaky fuel tank, the rest is all minor fixes I would want to do anyways.

Truck has many upgrades I will share when shes insured - with photos of course. I work indirectly for the local GM dealer so parts will come easy.

Hey guys, my names Charlie. I know some may not agree that my truck belongs to “this” group but in a way, it does. I drive a 51’ Chevy 3100 Five Window and the truck sits on an S10, and soon to be swapped to a 4X4 S10 chassis and I’m running all S10 suspension. It is LS swapped and I’m working to convert the truck to AWD with a 4L80 tranny, Typhoon transfer case, limited slip front diff and a Ford 8.8 rearend and for fun I’m gonna throw a couple of turbos on it.

Thanks man, looking for a way to mate my 4L80 to the 4472c transfer case then it all go back together. I have Insta @TurboCharlie01 though I’m rarely on there. I’m mostly on TikTok @LifeofCharlie. I’m waiting to get the AWD lined out so that I can debut the Truck on social media.

id give https://www.advanceadapters.com/ a call tomorrow and ask them. I bet there's a better transfer case to use as well.
I called Advanced Adapters a few weeks ago and they don’t offer anything to help mate the 4L80 to an AWD t-case. They said that “everyone just uses the 700r4” which instantly made it clear that they weren’t the place to go for this project. Though the 700r was an ok tranny in the day, it’s common knowledge that both the 700r and the 4L60 are NOT meant for big power.

Hey all. New to the forum. I don't own an S10, but will be using the drivetrain in a 1963 CJ6 build. I've been researching the 4.3-4l60E combo and my search kept pointing me to this forum so I decided it was time to jump on board. Looking to build a decent but not crazy $$$$$ 4.3. Vortec heads, still not sure if it's better to start with the balance shaft block or not, maybe a little cam, TBI and tune, tune, tune. Hoping to 250+hp and 300+tq. This thing will be a rock crawler so keeping the low end torque is important.

Welcome. Start a thread in member projects. Your horse power goals may be a bit ambitious.
I definitely will once I actually start building the motor. Where would you guess I'll be for HP and TQ with:
Rebuilt 96-98 block and heads
2114 intake
TBI
Small cam( open to suggestions)
Opened up intake and exhaust flow
Custom tuning with WBO2
Am I making any glaring mistakes with this setup for my purposes?

Hello everyone!
name is Frank. I am going to assume this is the welcome thread.
Need to tap into the forum for information, the 95 s10 2.2 2wd is a donor for a classic truck resurrection. This truck suffered damage from a fire in the cab, during body panel replacement. So i bought it to save it from the shredder.
looking to save all features the truck came with,a/c,ps,pb, cruise control. So many hurdles, but i think i can pull it off. Electrical is my main concern, seperating the lighting and unnecessary wiring and still having it run and drive is my goal.
thanks in advance for your help.

Hey everybody, looking around and seeing this forum is still active made me pretty happy. You guys have posted more information than any one could ask for and s10's everywhere will eternally be in debt. Haha. My truck is a little old and beat up but it's getting better.

Hi, I'm Adam in San Diego.
I inherited an 1988 S10 4.3L 48,000 miles.
It is in remarkable condition for a 35 year old truck but it's time to restore it. (wiring, paint etc.)
I'm not a mechanic. My hope is to make contact with someone in San Diego that loves S10's and wants to work on this gem. Any guidance appreciated!

Hello, my name is Chad and I am posting from the greater Salt Lake area in Utah.
I own a 1994 S10 extra cab, 4.3L V6, 5 Speed MT, 2wd painted in forest service green (yes, it is an old forest service truck).
My plan is to swap to an 0411 ECU with speed density, sequential injection intake manifold and a turbo.
I am looking forward to being a member on this forum after several years of lurking.
I am an Electronics Engineer by trade, an a life long mechanic for my hobbies.
