yah the airride kit that i have you dont HAVE to cut the frame. i did i just put s c notch in. they give you some really short bumpstops that you mount on your frame so you dont dammage you axle/frame. talk to larry @ http://www.innovativeairsuspension.com

he know his stuff,

so how low can you actually go without a notch? does the rid quality change depending on a notch ?

geting a notch wont change the ride at all. the air pressure and shock you use will detrmine that. well the bag too. but i notched mine and added a 2" block for my 2 1/4" (about) notch. it rides pretty good. i have only driven it for 2 days so i havent fine tuned it yet. but if you dont notch you will be like +/- 5" off the gound when you are deflated. depending on your tires.

I've got the airride 4link, and with no notch and no blocks, my frame is 2" from the ground, or 23" from the ground to the top of the wheel opening. My ride hieght it set at 25" and I haven't bottomed out once
