im looking at a wracked 98 ss, a couple major things, im not sure if its reall an SS, it has no front clip, 4.3l v6, auto, short cab, fleet side, black, cant see any badging in the pics, looks like it has crank manual window and locks, and it has a rear bumper, the rims look like the 98 ss 16" rims with GoodYear tires, so two questions, did every ss come with a roll pan, or is it possible that this one IS an SS but with a step bumper? also, did they make 98 ss with crank windows? by the way it does look like it sits with the 2" lowered stance as i found out they did from the fac soo.

Check for the RPO code B4U

SS's did have the option of a roll pan or a bumper. RPO code for a roll pan is VF7.

hey thanks guys for the help, tho i wont be buying this truck, if any of you would like the info on it tho its a 98 ss missing the driver door, fenders, hood, grille, lights, 16 wheels, tailgate, and core, was wrecked in the rear but not too bad, wasnt turned in to insurance so title should be clean, motor is good with 68k auto and it is black on black, email for more info [email protected]
