hey i have a 1000/1 amp and for some reason it makes a hissing sound. the noise is coming from inside the amp. i've had it now for two years and it works great other than that, well and it shuts down on low voltage alot but i know why it does that. i dont have enuff power in my car. but thats but to be fixed. gonna run dual alts

i would say it would be a fan inside but there aint one in there..
i say for the sound u hear it power :cool: but dont quote me on that:p

for it shuting down i would get a volt meter and check the volts. i always keep amp happy dont let an amp drop blow 12v - IMO :cool:

Ive had a 1000/1v2 for over a year, a 500/1 for 2+ years, never a single issue with them. Are you sure the sound is coming from the amp, and not a bad connection somewhere. Eliminate the simple stuff first.
