That double timing chain looks nice.

yeah i dont know why but the double chain sets it off, just looks bad assed

i am machine my own rails, its one of my side projects in my engineering class, its been taking me a while because ive been really busy, but ive got a couple housr to spare this week so ill get some pictures

as for the computer, im still undecided

holley
megasquirt
or a chipped 2.8 mpfi ecu

i figure the holley and megasuirt would be easier, but the modded 2.8 ecu would be a lot cheeper and better for me since this truck is just a daily driver. i dunno, i just cant decide what route to go. im gonna talk to boosted thrills at nats and see how he like his holley and then ill try and make a decision

edit, i started kicking around the idea tonight to run a 96 and newer ecu, preferably a 2001(ls1 edit capable) and up 4.3 ecu and rewiring the truck

who knows this is all up in the air, im very indecisive as this whole computer thing

Looking good, the edelbrock cam doesn't sound too bad at all!

I like the idea of an aftermarket unit. And, the megasquirt is really cheep(less than $300?). If you go with a factory unit you are probably stuck with narrow band o2 sensors.

The aftermarket units allow the use of wideband o2 sensor(s). With a wideband you can do closed loop wot fuel control(usualy). And, you can specify leaner than 14.7:1 afr's at cruise for fuel economy savings.

The newer comptuers, the tuning/scanning software is fairly expensive.
