Me and my best highschool friend are ok and we made it to the concert that evening... We hydroplaned in a curve my neck still hurts from it. I'm looking for a new blazer/s10 and this next one will be my third. I'd like it nice as this was my nice daily and the other one I have for work and offroading. If you know any for sell within 100 miles of Ronoke Virginia it would be greatly appreciated. I'm getting my audio and some of my mods and goodies off of this one so I'd like a first gen.

Dang! Sure glad you guys are OK - it could have been far worse. Just curious, where is the wreck scene located, and why the range limit of the search around Roanoke (my neighborhood as well)? If you find a good Blazer, it can be a valid reason for a road trip - I've done that with several of my vehicles!

In your search for another Blazer, you may want to also check Craigslist, FBMP, and sites like Auto trader, Car gurus, Cars. I's steer clear of Carvana - they seem to have a rep for problematic transactions, especially involving title transfers.

Thanks you all and thanks for the advice the wreck scene was on a road called windy gap mountain it's super curvy and the speed limit is 55 it was raining... I was going under the speed limit but still nothing was to be done. I planned on keeping that vehicle my whole life as it was one of the better first gens out there I was leaving a car show and had it all cleaned up for her final send off.

I want it within 100 miles of roanoke I'm not in roanoke just is a more well known town than Bedford.

From an old guy that taught defensive driving at FedEx Express...driving under the speed limit, instead driving for the conditions is a big difference.

I remember I first accident at 16. I was making a left turn when it was raining my car spun twice and hit a telephone pole head on in my mom's car. How can I say this nicely my ass was a grass that day and she was the mower. That was back in good old 1987.

I know the road well - I use it sometimes on the way to SML, and quite familiar w/ Bedford as well.

Glad you're safe. Sometimes you can't help it. Rain likes to bring all the oil and road grime to the surface and make everything slimey. I recall a few occasions being surprised how easily the ass slid out around a slow curve, even at grandma speeds.
yep well it sure taught me man. after all this I'll be a lot more careful I'm just glad me and my buddy I arent severy injured and there wasn't anyone else involved.

ps. the blaza still runs and drives but insurance won't let me fix it they said it's totaled

Depends on what you have, radio and stuff yeah that’ll swap right over. ‘89 will have a different radiator support, grill and headlight set up, and a different gauge cluster. Interior trim the only things you can swap are door panels, A pillar trim, dash, front seats, center console. I’d grab your overhead console if you have one in your Blazer as well.
