I still have to get a radio and fill in the cracks and crevices, but you get the idea. After I put the kit in I decided that I didnt like the cig lighter and hatch pop there and I might wanna hide them, so I shaved it too. Its pretty flat, but the glue and its reflections make it look all wavey.

The cut

the fit in

some random old pioneer

with some other crappy Pioneer Z110 that was sitting around (joking)

the new shave

installed

questions?

As "simple" as a shape the end result is, I wonder how hard it would be to make a mold to reproduce this as a kit. It seems like a lot of people are requesting these. Spit them out at $15-20 a pop. Of course molding in mounts for the radio would be ideal.

Getting into the mid 30's; it's time to start thinking about that $1mil idea to cruise into a great retirement. ;)

I dont think that you making a kit to put in a modern deck in a 15+ year old ride that would require a lot of behind the dash mods would make you a millionaire. Of course if you did that, you might as well so one for a 94-97 as well, but then you still leave all the 98-02 crowd needing a dash mod and cutting.

If magazines do indeed drive the hobby, 1'st gens are going to be up there with the G bodies. Hell, I'm reaching here lately; but still worth a looksee. It's a clean looking dash piece. I'm sure those with 1'st gens would be more than happy to rock that if they had it available to them.

Yeah I keep seeing more and more first gens but yet the aftermarket still doesn't give a shit. Hell you can get LED tails for a 84 astro but not a 93 s-10?????

The trendy stuff always comes last. Suspension and drivetrain stuff is well supported; though a majority of the credit on the front suspension has to be given to the G body. Repro pieces are being built. Might get in there on the ground floor, Forklift!!

Good job.

are you going to bondo & glass it? that would be a sweet factory look.

I would have made angled ipod holder on the left where the 12v outlet was.

I have an extra bezel myself. You inspired me. i think I'm going to give that a shot. I'm gonna try to make it with a eq slot though.
