a very long story short, has anyone mounted their shocks to a roundbar rather than a flat or bar end using the standard rear shock (eyelet on each end). pics would be incredibly helpful. planning on getting the rear shocks mounted sometime in the next 2 weeks. very first idea was using something like this off the roundbar:

then mounting the bottom portion off the flat bar with these:

i have helped do exactly what you are doing several times for drag cars.

Did a 66 chevy last year and put those tabs on a pipe for the rear shocks. the truck now has a 600hp big block in it and is driven on teh track as well as the street.

There is no issues with doing it the way you want.
