I have an 89 s15 pickup and since I've had it its had black aftermarket tail lights. a few months ago I found original chrome lights and bought them cause I thought they looked better. but the mounting locations for the screws are different. I'm thinking the ones I bought are for a blazer/Jimmy? it's not a big deal if I can't use them I only paid $5 for them but still would like to know

You could Google the molded GM part number on the chrome one and see what applications it is supposed to fit. It definitely isn't the same as the black one - close, but no ceegar.

Rock auto sells replacments for around $10 to $30 each with the correct holes that are close enough for a daily.

You could just run the two outside screws, the lights won’t go anywhere. Those chrome surround OEM lights are off a Blazer/Jimmy, we can’t get to the pickups mounting points with all the interior and what not, that’s why they placed them on the outside. That being said the lights in my Jimmy are for a pickup, so I only have the outer screws in, they’re not going anywhere.
