Will the Moog 5664 spring lever my 1992 s-10 long bed reg cab 4.3 with the back?
depends how much lift you have in the back now, with a 4.3 motor and a reg cab you can expect about 1"-1 1/4" lift in the front

The 6450 has a smaller wire diameter and about half the spring rate. It is about 3" taller decompressed and .5" taller installed. But with the soft spring rate I doubt if you would get any lift, and if you did, you would have a very soft ride and bottom out a lot. But if you already have them, by all means go ahead and install them and let us know how they work out. They will be a PITA to install being 3" longer than stock. My 2" DC coils were the same height as stock and were a major PITA to install.

compared to what?

In chart I used the 6450 compared to 5658 have a larger wire diameter (.703vs .687). Though the spring rate is less because its longer spring (perhaps different wind) it has an extra 2.58 inches to make up for it. The original install height is only .5 inch more but it handles more weight at that height. Less weight would be higher, I figured 1.672 inch more (maybe too much) install height at spring compared to 5658 for same load weight (1405 lbs) as 5658, and about double that height at ball joint.

Compared to 5664 the 6450 has .5 inch and 18 lbs more to start not taking in account for lighter load. Bring the 5664 up that .5 inch and it looses another 707 lbs. Above that the 5664 still looses weight capacity quicker.

Compared to 5658 at 1405 lbs, the 6450 giving 3.456 total lift may be close since what I figure going by the numbers the 5664 does (1.339 total lift) is close with others actual experience.

Yes it should be a softer ride then a short stiff spring if the lift is reasonable. The springs could be trimmed a little.

Hey everyone, I think i might be interested in buying some Moogs as well. I have a 2000 Chevy s10 4 cylinder with a 3'' spindle lift for the front on 30's and a stock rear. I think i should have gone for the 5'' spindle lift because the 3'' spindle lift seems still too low. Im wondering if i would buy these Moogs 5664's and that it would maybe get me 2 more inches of lift in the front. Does anyone know? And if the Moog wouldnt lift it 2 more inches, does anyone have any suggestions of what i can do to lift the front 2 more inches and still keeping the 3'' spindles i have on now? THANK YOU!

It'll probably lift you about 1.25"-1.5". If you lift it 2" with springs though, only Dick Cepacks were good, the others ride like shit and put a lot of stress on your suspension. And what 5" spindles are you talking about, because I've never even heard of 5" spindles.

Oh okay sweet thank you, would you know the part number for the Dick Cepacks springs that will give me the 2 inches of lift with the my 3 inch spindles still on? and yeah one shop i took it too to get an estimate said i have the option to either get the 3 inch or 5 inch spindle lift. so I dont know.

There's no company that makes 5" spindles, i could see a Long travel kit and spindles, or maybe they modify themselves. I'd be afraid of 5" though, that's a lot more leverage on your ball joints then the 3" put on them.

And there's no P/N's, and I don't think they're sold anymore, it was a spring that sold online about a year ago, so any now were purchased then and are being re-sold to my knowledge.

Yeah maybe thats why the place where i got the estimate selling the 5 inch spindles went out of business haha and alright thanks for the info, im just trying to find a way and an inexpensive way to lift my front a few inches or so, so i thought these moogs would be the perfect way to do so.

Ok cool. I'm just looking to level the truck right now. I'll be planning a sfa in the future but figure I would at least have a good stance.
