they got an stl s-series forum,but its kinda slow. Lots of Missouri guys around. Mainly from stl, KC and springfield. None from COlumbia...other than myself.

any of you guys gonna go to the carshow in carthage this weekend(oct 16), ill probably runnin around there with my truck, if not ill be in my cousins car, hard to miss, blue 67 camaro, on rodlites

Has anyone ever cleaned there engine bay? and what would you use and use to keep it lookin new?
Let truck warm up, mix up half simple green and half Mr. Clean Floor Cleaner, then mix with up with 1/2 water. Cover engine very liberally and then DRIVE to the car wash and wash it off, this will let the dirt and grease bake off. Power wash it good then spay armor-all on engine and drive home, this should look good. Or at least it did on my s-dime, got 5th at maple leaf in carthage

Well i didnt get to clean my engine bay and i ended up with 3rd place with my truck and my car got me 4th place wasnt really tryin to win anything with the car but i did and happy ..

I know I've seen 3 or 4 posts from people out there....
Durring the Summer we have monthly meets, BBQs and other get togethers.... Some of us get togethter almost every weekend....
You guys are all more than welcome to come down and join us, or if you got something cool going on out that way, give us a holler and maybe we can get some folks and Roll out that way...
With winter comming on, We are all longing for a ""Indoor"" type hangout spot...

Yea I am from St. Peters mo. Low Class Concepts. Its a low key club but we get along and have a good time. We havent got all our shit together but we just started it up. yea if you wanna take home more trophies then definately clean up the engine bay. I detailed cars professionaly for 2 years for blues hockey players, Larry Hughes (SLU grad wash. wizzards), and alot of other clients including show cars. Spray degreaser,let it sit, power wash the engine after but make sure its running. If fuel injected stay away from computter, if carb keep away from distributor. use common sense and dont use too much pressure though. then use some sort of a plastic cleaner to make it shine then wipe off so it dont look greasy. I usually spend like a few hours doin my engine before a show
