In post #19 you said you want a locker for the Dana 30. There were lockers made for both the iron case IFS (a LockRight lunchbox locker was available) and the Dana 30 has there own. The aftermarket Dana 30 that you've been eyeballing is a shortened Dana 30 with a early bolt-in style IFS axle from the short side of the S10 diff for the short side of the Dana 30. You might be able to make your own a lot cheaper than buying it if you have the machinery available to you or a machinist buddy.

Made some progress started the sanding process also got the majority of the grease and dirt on the underside of the cab. We plan on a rubberized coat under the cab. Other than that i have the frame striped and ive been slowly sandblasting parts.we plan on painting door jams and firewall aswell.

As for the dana 30 i. Could make most of it work will still need custom shafts made that are 27 spline not the s10s 26 spline axles. Im going to use the stock diff for now and ill try upgrading later just to save on one cost, but ill have my eye out for one. Lift kit didnt show up yet but my full bushing kit did. So lots and lots and lots of work still to do hopfully ill get the firewall and door jams painted on monday.but we will see still have lots to do.

Been slowly but surely getting parts cleaned up and painted. Im down to the front diff and the rear axle. I also need to paint the main leafs, im fighting the small end bushings and plan on taking it to my work and pressing them out there. I did however get all the other bushing pressed out and ready to go back in with the new once the paints all dry and cured. Pretty cool to see just a completly stripped frame.

Well got some good painting work done! At least got the knuckles and calipers done so i can move forward on the frame to! Super happy with how it turned out. It was a bit lighter than i thought it would be but still looks really really good.

Made a bit of progress today, started bolting stuff uo to the firwall, started installing dynomat, and got the hole cut for the shifter and got the t-case shifter assembly holes drilles and rivnutted. Im super pleased with how the shifter location turned out. Once i get farther ill probably do a write up on what it takes to do a 95 nv3500 swap.

Got the 6 plenitary gears in the t-case, tried multiple np233c t-cases, but non worked, sadly. Luckily, i had an np261 laying around that had the mystical 6 plenitary gears. i had to use the sun gear from the np231 with the 6 plenitary gear cage that was in the np261.my np231 had a wide chain already. Also got the trans pulled from the donor rig. Getting ready to pull the rear axle for a rebuild and paint.

Thank you for the compliments. Right now, i got the axle torn apart and wire wheeled. I need to clean the inside tonight. I got new dust plates, seals, and e-brake shoes.

But that's boring haha everything for the 1 ton steering has been ordered. So, hopefully, when everything shows up, I'll have something worthy to post! I will, however, be making the tie rod links tonight in preparation.

We also have the 5.3 harness deloomed and have everything labled. plan on making a stand-alone at first, although im tempted to make the harness work with the s10. I just need to find a good thread that helps out, haha. I have access to pinouts, i even have multiple s10 harnesses and a bunch of spart plugs ive ripped off of other rigs
