Holley pan sits about 1/4" above the cross member. Most people notch to allow installing the engine and trans together. It also allows having the engine forward, away from the firewall. I've seen few builds where they didn't notch.So, to be clear. Does the Holley LSx pan sit higher than the cross member and fit without notching the frame for a LQ9?
