It appears my fuel level buffer module is bad and causing some voltage issues that may be leading to a p0301.

I cannot find anywhere that still has this item available. I think it was only produced for the 97s and is understandably very hard to find.

After some research, it looks like the 1997 Blazers might have used this part as well. Luckily there is one at a yard near me. I'll update tomorrow.

I've got one. PM me if you want to buy it. Been in my desk drawer for 10 years and just sold the other one I had today.
They were meant to stop the 97 fuel gauge from wiggling with the turn signals. Didn't work very well. Tried 3 different ones. Sold the 3rd with the Blazer.
I doubt seriously if it has anything to do with why your number 1 cylinder is misfiring. That's usually plug, wire, cap, rotor, or spider/injector. Or worst case bad valve.

I'm suspicious as well, but the evidence suggests the part is bad at the very least based on codes (0122 & 1406) before it was removed. I'll PM you now.

I've replaced the spider injector, spark plugs, and distributor cap.
