Yeah, lost my pants on it, but I’m just really tired of messing with it and it gives me enough to fix the tranny in my Avalanche. And, I think it’s going to a good home.

I love the Avalanche. The first gens are my favorite aside from the 02... I don’t like the instrument cluster in the 02.

Well, the daughter ran her ‘95 LS off the road messing with something in her cup holder and clipped a guy wire on a power pole. I’d never have imagined a guy wire causing so much damage, but at least she wasn’t hurt.

Basically, the damage includes these parts:
  • Hood
  • RH Fender
  • Core Support
  • Grille
  • Bumper
  • RH Bumper Cap
  • RH Headlight
  • RH Inner Fender
  • LH Mirror
  • Battery
  • Battery Tray
  • Coolant Reservoir
  • AC Evaporator Housing
  • Radiator
  • Upper Fan Shroud
  • Serpentine Belt
The frame horn is not bent. I was able to save the new AC Condenser. I bought a used Hood, RH Fender, and Core Support with plans to repair it but after finding the other damage, I’m either going to sell it as is or part it out.

I know I’ll never recoup what I have in it. I’ll keep the C3 Vette wheels and put the stock alloys back on it.

These parts on the truck are new:
  • AC Compressor
  • AC Condenser
  • Accumulator
  • Front Brakes
  • Front Rotors
  • Front Wheel Bearings and Seals
  • Tires
  • Fuel Tank Module with Pump
  • T5 Tranny was replaced with a used 97K mile unit
  • Clutch and Fly Wheel
  • Clutch Hydraulics
  • Oil Pan Gasket
  • Rear Main Seal
  • Water Pump
  • Upper and Lower Radiator Hoses
  • Plugs, Wires, and Cap
  • Headliner
  • RH Mirror
I can go ahead with the repair, but I’ll have to buy more parts and do the repair, and I’m still going to have a repaired, wrecked, truck with a red hood and RH fender with the clear peeling off that nobody will want to pay anything for.

I’m thinking I’ll be better off to part it out. What do y’all think?

Thanks.
I would be interested in the ac compressor.....message me.....Brian in NC

Take a break from it for a bit. Nothing like those old s10s. I have two, a 91, 300k+miles(daily drive), a 90 with 62k. Most folks regret selling them. For the price of new vehicles, I'll keep my old s10s!
God bless
