What is a good lift for a stock 1997 s10 with the 2.2L, 2wd? I was thinking about going with Fabtech but I would like it to be cheaper. I don't Off-road much, but I do go sometimes...so it can't just fall apart with a speed bump :D Anyhow, I would like to get a spindle kit that will raise it about 2" (thats all I really need). Do you think this is a good way to go?

Any and all imput is welcome.
I am new to lifting trucks...

If you go with a spindle lift you are looking at a 3" to 3.5" of a lift. To be honest the spindle lift is the best way to go if you do not want to go too high. Spindles go for $300+ depending on what brand you go with. I highly recommend Fabtech or California Super Trucks.

Check out these sites for information:

Also I have a set of 3" Lift coils for a 4cyl if you are interested in them.

Do you know the diamater and height of the stock coil springs? How much lift would the 4cyl springs give on a v6 truck? Thanks
