Going to the track in about 10 minutes...This is a first for me so keep that in mind..

details:
2.2 reg cab fleetside
gm rollpan
K&N FIPK
TB spacer
Flex a lite fan
flowmaster 50 series 2.25 delta flow w/turndown

Have a/c, and stereo(PPI2360 runin a sealed 10" eclipse sub

Removed jack, tailgate, and tonneau cover

dropped w/3"springs and blocks

have not flushed tranny
still on stock cluch w/ 46000 miles

will remove headlamp (one-eye racing...wooo hooo)

pretty sure i have the 4.10 gears

that isnt bad for a 2.2 i seen alot worst at the track where i live.....there is a 2.2 that runs around where i live and he smokes me like none other....and its still the 2.2 but it sounds really weird...supercharger turbo i dunno but it kicks butt....when i find out what he has i'll post back....

ok this is just my opinion i dont know if it applies with your truck or not. when i was at the track with my 97 stock i was running around low 18's, i began to notice that if i shifted at the right spots i could build up more momentium for the next gear. i started shifting earilier. i would rev 1st out to 23, then 2nd out to 47ish, then 3rd out to end of strip. my best run after that was a 17.6 @ 75.03 (traction sucked). i biggest problem was getting off the line with my crappy ass tiger paw tires. i have also heard that if you do mods to your truck you need to reset your computer. this is done by disconnecting your positive lead for 1/2 hour. if you try any of this tell me if it seemed to help you out any.

good idea...but unfortunately i wont be runnin again the same after this weekend. im sure the weight of the compressores and air tank will slow me down a bit...but i will definitely do that. i wonder how pissed the track would be if i threw sparks after a run...hehe

you took off weight in the rear therefore you weighed less but you had a lot less traction on the rearend... big no no...

try disconnecting your battery for 1/2 hour and see if that works, tell me how it goes. it is supposed to reset your computer so the computer can adjust to the mods done to the engine

yeah wil doprobly be a couple weks before i go back to the track though. I thought about that weight thing...honestly it wasnt alot. you know how much the tailgate weighs im sure.

thats pretty good stock, not the best but pretty good.not that I can talk much because all I ran was a 17.4 @ 80 with my 4.3 5speed with the tailgate open and 255/65/r15 viper tires.
