Hello everyone I just joined these forum today but I have a 84 Chevy s10 pick up Durango I bought for $200 it will Idel just fine but if you give it any amount of throttle it with begin to knock if anyone at all has any insight on the cause please try and help it will be much appreciated thank you in advance.

If it's an engine knock it is likely a main or connecting rod bearing that is worn out. Do Not drive it. That would only increase the cost of the repairs. For a $200 truck your best bet is to find another 84 engine that isn't knocking and replace yours with it.

Thank you I was staring to think that might do a turbo diesel swap not sure yet thought it’d be super fun 😂
