I looked in the search area for a while before I decided to ask this question so sorry if this is a common question. I bought a new keyless entry remote for my 94 GMC Jimmy (yes, it had one originally) today but the parts guy didn't know how to program it for my truck. I can find how to program the newer trucks but not my 94. I found another program method that shows me jumping a wire from pin 8 to pin 4 on my data link port but the pic shows 16 total pins and mine has only 12 or something like that. I would rather not guess by sticking a piece of wire in there till I know 100% that it's the correct way. Thanks much for your help

I found the programming for it finally!

Ground pin G of the Data Link Connector (DLC). Receiver will respond by locking and unlocking doors within 2 seconds. Press any button of the first transmitter to be programmed. The control module will respond by locking/unlocking doors and activating rear window release.

I hope this will help someone else looking for programming instructions.
