just did some research and come to find out that there are NOT different series carriers, the only difference is if you have stock 2.56 or lower gears and anything above that goes on OUR carrier. so basically if you have 3.08 gears now, you can go straight to the 3.73s or whatever without a spacer, just thought i would pass that on.

yeah i found that out through summit racing when i ordered 4.10's a few weeks ago. btw 3.73's should be perfect cause 4.10 run out way to fast. :racing:

Yall don't have 8.5 rear ends in less yall swaped them in. And with the 7.5 that come in s10 (exept Zr2) the 3.08 is on the lower carrier and if you have a 3.08 you have to get a new carrier to move to a different gear ratio

no some of us do have a 8.5 & no if u do have a 8.5 you can bolt 4.10s to the same carrier as 3.08s

actually some of us that have the L35 4.3 5 speed do have the 8.5 rearend. :D

HTe 8.5 thta is in your truck is it the same width as one out of a zr2 cause i had heard that those where wider than a 7.5

the 8.5 in my truck i believe and looks like the same width as any other 2wd 7.5 s10 i have sitting in my driveway. the rearends in 4x4's are wider than 2wds though.
