Over the last few days I have learned that the 2.2 has 118-120 HP at the flywheel and about 70-75 at the wheels. I was wondering why it looses so much HP so I did some research. The only thing I could find is the drive line and possible the rear axle assembly (I dont know what its called). If we 2.2 guys replaced our back ends would it be possible to get more like 100-110 at the wheels. If so then I would think it would put less strain on the engine and leave more room for engine bolt ons. I would also think It would make the bolt ons give more HP for the dollar.
Would replacing this stuff make a difference?
