truck has been sitting at my buddys house for the last week, when to pick it up today
I figured out why im leaking so bad out of the extension housing...

all the bolts were backing out extention house to transfer case connection.
I seems like the Idiot that put it for got to put lock tight on the bolts :leave:

it was my second time pulling and installing the transfercase that day so I was a little frustrated and rushing. Im not sure if you guys have a time limit on grage time but I shure do lol!

hey it could have been alot worse and drop out completely.

I HATE doing bakes on my rear calipers if she would do them I would be soooo happy, I swear one is defective because I cant get it to retract very easy even with the proper tool.

lol and to add to that I broke the banjo after putting in 24 hours of work on it in 3days. at the very end of coruse it was on sat night and no part stores open on sunday...
pluged the line and wheled her any way
3 outa 4 ant bad.

so droped the DS again last weekend! going to put a payment down for the drive shaft parts. gonnna cost $519 + my tubing costs, $211 of that being a new CV. I have access to a tig welder and lath so I think I can get it balanced enough.

im still not totaly convinced I want to spend this much on a drive shaft yet but its gettting annoying. Im going to fex it really goood tonight give it a good look over before I put down some cash tommrow. thing is it only hapens when you really bounc the front end not flexing.

Im not sure what wall thinckness to go and opinions??



oh yea I was reading though my thread and I thought I would say this incase some one is having the same problem. my grinding nose when letting off the gass was bad pinion angles.

Have a go pro? Mount under truck go wheeling and watch what's causing it to drop fix that solution. Just a thought

sounds like a lot for a drive shaft,glad i do my own, the tubing should be 120 wall, so it wont get crushed by rocks or other obstacles,

that is the cost of doing it my self and that was cheepest place in town. They want 981.74 all in to make one lol no one will ever find me paying that much for a drive shaft lol my friend did for his for his 3/4 chevy sas front shaft and ended up bending in less than a month... its also a heavy pig

I never did end up going to get it, when out wheeleing lol, no issues this weekend at least

does it have to be 120 wall DOM or can it be welded tube?

Only time I was having problems with my drive shaft pulling a part was when my drivers side motor mount was broke , swaped to 2.8 mounts and haven't had a problem yet

yes diffidently dom, i should have said that, scedule pipe will bend and twist on you , and is heavier and is sooooo much weaker

quite posible I blew another motor mount, I seem to be hard on thos things. but I di have the 2.8s now, maybe some polly inserts and a limiting strap.

DOM will have way consistant ID size any way erw has a little lip. I was thining DOM that stuff ant cheep tho, not like I need 20ft or any thing lol

Im gonna get my buddy to flext this thing tonigh and watch to see if somehting weird is going on. lol been trying for a while now no one wants to flex it for me but im gonna make some one tonight

Thought you were talking sch 80 pipe. A 8 ft piece of pipe for my steering cost me 120 I think.

lol didnt flex it last night, started pouring on my way home from work, should be sunny tonight.

just got a video camera so ill tape it and every thing so other people can see.

put the truck on the ramp and I need to lengthen my ds by 1.5", so that was my problem all along, I just guessed my length when I made it. I wont be guessing when I fix it

im not going to get the fancy drive shaft anymore going to re-tube my curent hack job lol
