Where her are some pics I took at work today.

The first 4 are at 8:00AM EST. Water height is about normal with rough surf.



These pics were taken at 11:00AM EST. Water slightly higher, wave height and rough surf also increased.

These pics were taken at 2:00PM EST. The speak for themselves....

Yep, the waters getting higher....
Shit, I used to be able to drive here!
......here too!
Nope, can't get on the beach here.

ok that has to be photoshopped....there isn't a ripple in that water! and why the hell would a steam ship be heading towards it? :tool:

first of all, its a CARGO ship, :tool:

second, that storm is pathetic

third, ever hear the expression "calm before the storm"??

fouth, storms really can travel in organized fronts like that. most of the time people dont realize it cause there is no visual to compare it to as that picture does.

think about it. what makes waves? it's the abundance of water moving to shore. the shallower the water, the more you'll see the wave. out in the middle of the ocean you aren't going to see the whitecaps such as morgan posted pictures of already.

as already stated, it's a cargo ship. secondly, haven't you ever noticed that in a hurricane the navy sends it's boats into the ocean? hmm, wonder why, oh, yeah, the storm may hit them, but the waters are calmer out at sea than closer to the shore. see above about waves.
