I would like to know some of the ways that people have addressed things that are effected by body lifting their trucks such as the fan shroud and bumper gaps. I can easily make brackets to lift the bumpers but the fan shroud is a little trickier. I could do like many and leave the lower half off but I know it is important to make the air flowing from the fan pass through the radiator so I intend to have a functioning shroud. I have a 99 ext cab 4x4 with 4.3 auto and less than 3 inch lift. Any ideas would be appreciated cause so far I have not came up with an idea that satisfies me.

I had a 1987 K5 blazer with 3" body lift. The lower fan shroud would bind on the fan due to the lift, so I followed the instructions of the body lift kit and simply removed the lower fan shroud. Welcome to Overheating City! The shroud is necessary to force the air to be pulled through the radiator instead of around it. I eventually installed electric fans, which "mostly" solved the problem. This was back in the late '80s early '90s....there are so many options available today to alleviate that problem.
Definitely plan on a cooling strategy that will pull sufficient air through the radiator. Simply removing the bottom half of the fan shroud will result in overheating....hope someone can learn from my mistake.....
